A significant contribution for achieving the goals are our regional meeting places with different offers:
"Open meeting place"
The main focus of the meeting place is the "open meeting place" to provide preventive and personalized offers. It offers a high level on reliability by a continually present of our supporting stuff and different offers. The "open meeting place" is important especially for the clients that are not conform with groups but searching for social contacts. It helps to avoid the social isolation.
The "open meeting place" is a place of "renewing" of support after crises situations, end of treatments, "failed" support.
Group work
We also have different offers of group work. Independent if it is an open or a theme-focus group work, the group work is the place and the environment of learning social life. It is an area to try yourself in social contacts and situations of conflicts. It helps to avoid isolation and withdrawal. Psychoeducational groups enable an immediate confrontation with the disease and their consequences.

Group offers
In this group we are talking about books that you are reading at the moment. Ideas and criticism about literary works can be discussed in our weekly literary group on Tuesdays from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Another idea would be to visit a lecture.
Self developed texts, poems or stories can be published in our own magazine „B+S Nachrichten“.

Getting in contact with other people while enjoying a good cup of coffee.
In this group offer you can enjoy a healthy and varied breakfast whilst chatting with other people.
The breakfast is co-organized by the clients so that their ideas and wishes can be incorporated. Furthermore we will be there to answer any question you may have regarding the everyday life.

Every Thursday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. the art group will meet. The main focus lies on having fun with being creative and to experiment with different materials. For that we have lots of material available which is just waiting to be used and converted into art work. Acrylic paint, water colors, charcoal pencils, crayons, watercolor sticks, oil and pastel chalks as well as structure paste can be used on passe-partouts or canvases.
Some of those paintings and art works can be seen in our office. Please bring ideas and wishes and we will try to implement them together.

Every Thursday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. the cooking group will meet. The atmosphere is happy and vivid. Not only during our dinner together but also during the preparation vivid chats are becoming alive and there is lots of laughter. Everyone can help with preparation depending on one’s abilities. First we will wash and clean and then we will slice everything. Cleaning up and washing dishes in between and in the end has never been a problem.
The seasonal menu suggestions are always coming from the participants of our group and will be discussed within the group. Everyone can bring in their own preferences and aversions that will be taken in the considerations. There have never been problems with agreeing on a menu. Usually a menu consists of three courses: salad/starter, main course and dessert.
Usually our dishes are international for example Asian or African cuisine. The Mediterranean cuisine is also very popular. All participants have always been willing to try out new things which make it a lot of fun.
So Thursdays will often end with full stomachs even though we are trying to cook low in calories. It is way more fun and it tastes way better when you are cooking and eating with people instead of doing so alone at home.
Furthermore, we are planning on seminars and cooking-presentations on the topics “healthy eating” and “cooking with a low budget”.

Every Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. the supper group will meet. This one is an “open group” which means that anyone can join. You are very welcome to bring friends and family. With this group starting at a later time we want to enable clients that are working to participate in a group and ending their day by enjoying a supper together. So, you are more than welcomed to join B+S Soziale Dienste at late hour.
Every Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. the sewing group will meet. Together we will pursue different projects such as up-/recycling clothes which means that old clothes will be repaired or changed so that something new will be formed (e.g. making a dress out of an oversized T-Shirt or a pretty blouse out of an old button down shirt).
A large pool of used clothes from donations is available. You are welcome to bring own clothes as well for repairing or recreating. Prior knowledge is not necessary. You can always ask the group for advice and assistance. “Professionals” are just as welcome as those that want to learn for e.g. sewing, repairing, mending, crocheting or knitting. So everyone is welcome and the group is always open for new ideas and suggestions. Some ideas for projects would be making aprons for the cooking and the art group, placemats for the breakfast and the cooking group or for private use, “worry dolls”, textile bags, sofa cushions and sewed or knitted cuddly toys. This group will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays if there is no excursion planned. In this group you can look forward to anything revolving around the topic “computer”. Everything is included from learning how to turn on and off a computer for absolute beginners to installing Windows and Linux distributions like Ubuntu. First or further steps in working with Word, Excel or Powerpoint, and also in the free available Libre-Office equivalent can be learned. We can also show you “short-cuts” which will make your work with different programs way easier.
We can also install your new bought hard drive and show you how you can save data easily. If you are interested in any other computer revolving topics you can just ask. Just come by and either bring your own computer or we can work on one of ours.

Our game group which will meet every Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. is a lot of fun. Whilst enjoying some coffee and cookies we will play a good game together. Whether it is poker, darts, table football, board games, cards, strategy games, puzzle games or quiz games- everyone will find something they like in our game group. Just come by and find out yourself.
Every Wednesday from 12 p.m. to 14 p.m. the group for “young adults” will meet in the open meeting place from B+S Soziale Dienste. Whilst drinking some coffee in a relaxed atmosphere we will talk about all the important topics regarding living an independent life.

Of course you can also get help regarding any other questions you may have about starting an independent life. If you are between 20 and 25 years old and need some assistance or just want to talk to people your age then just come by.
